PROGRAM LEVEL

The B.A. in Arts and Design is a four-year and 128 credit program that aims to enable students to study, understand, analyze, and criticize the aesthetic and philosophical components of the environment. This will help them in the future to contribute to the cultural, urban, social, and political development witnessed by the Kingdom and to augment the diligent efforts to globally and regionally highlight the beautiful image of this geographically small – but culturally rich – spot.

The program enhances students’ capabilities in visual mass communication and artistic expression of abstract concepts in a practical and creative manner. The students acquire these skills and capabilities through brainstorming and designing various forms of artworks, including print and digital media, allowing them to work in many fields and in various design and advertising agencies as well as business and investment firms. It is hoped that the program will be a direct response to the market need for local skills as it prepares students academically and professionally and equips them with the substantive artistic and technical skills needed by the labor market.
