OUR FACULTY
As of 2020 there are 29 qualified and well experienced faculty members, 27 of which are PhD holders and two are MA holders. They include four associate professors and 23 assistant professors. They handle lectures for the courses to be offered by the Department. All faculty members have obtained degrees in different specializations related to language, linguistics and translation from reputable academic institutions especially from the United Kingdom and the United States. Several faculty members have completed the Post Diploma in Academic Practice (PCAP) and the Continuous Professional Development Program (CPD). Faculty specializations are diverse and many holds professional certifications in related fields such as TESOL, literature, applied linguistics and sociolinguistics. In addition to their academic load, the faculty conduct research that is at an original or global level and have administrative duties as well as community services. The faculty are involved in many student extracurricular activities such as supervising as well as mentoring. Senior faculty teach specialized courses at the Masters level and supervise senior projects for the graduate program.
