PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The program aims to prepare specialized researchers capable of creating and producing knowledge in the field of Arabic Language and Literature and equipped with the necessary cognitive and ethical competencies through:

  1. Providing students with the latest knowledge, scientific theories, and research methodologies that enable them to study the Arabic literary and intellectual heritage, both classical and modern.
  2. Training students in the methods of scholarly grounding and authentication of issues related to Arabic language and literature in accordance with contemporary academic standards and criteria.
  3. Equipping students with the ability to plan and implement scientific and methodological research in the fields of language and literature.
  4. Developing students’ skills to produce scholarly research that constitutes a significant contribution to contemporary linguistic and literary studies.
  5. Enhancing students’ evaluation skills to enable them to provide theoretical justifications for their research projects based on objective and systematic scientific evidence.
  6. Developing students’ analytical skills to enable them to deconstruct the philosophical frameworks upon which linguistic and literary theories are built.
  7. Training students in the latest scientific and methodological approaches to writing research that contributes meaningfully to the fields of language and literature.

GRADUATE OUTCOMES

  1. The student generates original knowledge in the field of language and literature
  2. The student establishes scholarly foundations for contemporary theories in language, literature, and rhetoric.
  3. The student deconstructs the concepts and philosophical frameworks upon which text-analysis theories are based.
  4. The student critically analyzes classical and modern literary and critical texts.
  5. The student produces scholarly research that constitutes a significant contribution to their field of specialization.
  6. The student employs information and communication technologies in academic contexts related to Arabic Language and Literature.
  7. The student applies the principles of academic integrity relevant to Arabic Language and Literature.
