FACULTY BIO

Dr. Saliu Ayowumi Shittu is an Assistant Professor of Linguistics. He has a PhD in Linguistics, University of Alberta, Canada, 2019; an MA in Linguistics (TESOL), University of Surrey, UK, 2004; a BA in English Language and Literature, University of Kuwait, Kuwait, 1990. His main research areas include acquisition and attrition of tone languages, phonetics and phonological acquisition. His other areas of interest and expertise include heritage language speakers and TESOL.
