Gained Ph.D in Text Linguistics and Translation (English and Arabic) from University of Glasgow, U.K (1994).M.A. in Applied linguistics and Translation (English and Arabic) from University of Salford, U.K (1986).B.A in English Language and Literature from University of Kuwait (1980). She gained a Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (1881) from the International House Institute, London, U.K., a Certificate in Translation (English and Arabic) from University of Wales, U.K., and a Certificate in (AFHEA) 2020, U.K. Dr Al-Mukharriq translated 2 books, one from English into Arabic 2006 and the second one from Arabic into English under the publication process. She participated in many conferences and symposiums in Bahrain, United Kingdom, U.S.A. and Canada. She worked as a freelance translator in (Translating and Interpreting) in U.K. and Bahrain. She has been working at Higher Education for more than 30 years.
