Women & Gender, Disability, Socioeconomic, equity 1994-2007: completed her studies in social sciences, Ph.D. from University of Warwick, MA from University of Nottingham, and a BA from University of Bahrain.
2001 - Present: Assistant Professor in the Department of Social Sciences at the University of Bahrain.
2010-2022: worked in Supreme Council of Women first in 2010 as a Director of the Ombudsmen Center and was soon appointed as Acting Director General of Policy and Development and Director of the Department of the National Strategy for the Advancement of Bahraini Women in 2011. In 2015, with her resumption of academic work, she continued her work in the SCW as a consultant until 2022.
Specialized and concentrates mainly on equity and the rights of women and people with disabilities.
Co-founder of Inspiration Economy concept, Journals, projects & institutions globally.
Has a number of scientific contributions, published more than 50 papers, books and book reviews. In addition to approximately 20 published studies on Covid-19.
