"Assistant Professor of Linguistics" PhD in Linguistics from Griffith University, Australia - 2014 Assistant Professor at the Department of English Language and Literature. Ali has joined the University of Bahrain as a graduate assistant at the English Language Centre in 2002 where he taught English courses for orientation and applied studies students. He went to Australia in 2009 to do his PhD studies and returned in September 2013 to join the Department of English Language and Literature as an assistant professor. Since then, he has been teaching English language courses and linguistics courses. Ali’s main area of interest is in media discourse analysis and critical discourse analysis.
