  • Lecturer at the University of Bahrain (1988).
  • Assistant Professor of Islamic Studies at the University of Bahrain (1995–2002), and again from 2011 to the present.
  • Member of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain during the First Legislative Term (2002–2006).
  • Member of the Council of Representatives of Bahrain during the Second Legislative Term (2006–2010).
