Unit at UOB Holds a Workshop for its Professors on Interactive Electronic
Activities Design

More than 60 faculty members at
the University of Bahrain (UOB) recently participated in an electronic workshop
entitled “A 5 Stages Model and Frameworks for Electronic Activities to
Ensure Student Success”, which was organized by the University’s Unit for
Teaching Excellence and Leadership (UTEL) and presented by the CEO of Education
Alchemists Ltd in the United Kingdom, Prof. Gilly Salmon and the General
Manager of Planning in the Company Ron Angood.

Prof. Salmon indicated that the
workshop provided participants with models that would help them design
interactive and applicable electronic activities and support their educational
practices using distance education during the current academic year, stating
that “The participants praised the importance of the workshop and its
educational outcomes that refined the knowledge structure of the applied
concepts and models provided by the workshop presenters.”

Furthermore, the director of UTEL at the University, Dr.
Diana Abdulkareem Al-Jahromi, stated that the two-day workshop was held under
the supervision of the Assistant Professor in electrical and electronic
engineering at the College of Engineering at UOB, Dr. Sanaa Ahmed Al-Mansouri.
